To accurate regional imbalances between the great clinical offerings and cheap healthcare facilities, our loved Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee hooked up six AIIMS to cater to the nearby public. AIIMS Patna is one of the six new AIIMS. Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, the then Vice President of India, laid its basis on 2d January 2004 at Phulwarisharif. In August 2010, the union cabinet gave its nod for putting in place societies to run six AIIMS like establishments at the fee of 823 crores.
